Multipurpose Wooden Notebook Cover - Djinn's Journal

Cut from basswood sheets, this wooden, laser-cut, semi-modular notebook system is beautiful, sleek, and useful. Made for avid journalists and notetakers, but geared toward LARPers, adventurers, or anyone who wants a little extra fantasy flair in their writing aesthetic, the multipurpose nature of this notebook system allows you to quickly and easily adapt, adjust, and rework the notebook to your needs without sacrificing style.

This intricate design is multilayered. The laser-cut wood front cover is in 3 parts, with a beautiful mandala-inspired design, stained a color of your choice, set against a background of filigree embossed leather, and sealed with a thin backing basswood sheet. Together, the front cover is less than 6.5mm (about a 1/4 inch) thick. After adding the back cover, inserts, and without paper, the entire notebook cover is 10.30mm (.41 inches) thick cover to cover.

In the center of the front cover is an open space floral design, perfect for personalization. Get in touch for options!

The designed front cover is 6mm thick, while the back cover is 3mm. The covers rotate almost 360 degrees, allowing you to move the front cover to the back for an open-face note taking style. The two 3-hole clasp mechanisms that hold the notebook in place align with standard A5 6-hole paper, so you can refill your notebook with any paper you prefer.

After opening the notebook, you'll find a custom-cut protective sheet for the paper. Turning the page, the adventure begins!

On the back side of the protective sheet, you'll find a laminated card insert for holding 3" x 5" index cards (It is larger than  3" x 5", but much larger makes it difficult to remove). Great for skill cards, item tags, or contact information if your notebook is lost.

Next, your notebook will come with a 3-Slot flexible notebook insert. This low-profile removable insert allows you to slip in an A4 or A5-sized notebook, with just enough clearance to be snug. Each insert has 3 slots (two(2) A5, one(1) A4), allowing you to adjust how close to the edge of the notebook you'd for it to be. Alternatively, stack multiple notebooks inside each other like a nesting-notebook-ception situation. (This makes the notebook thicker, but the option is there!) You can also order additional notebook inserts.

LARPers: Does your LARP give you 8.5" x 11" sheets of paper, and you'd like to keep those neatly folded in half (8.5" x 5.5")? While you can fit the leaves (but not the cover) of these sheet protectors in the notebook using the notebook insert, the edge will stick out about half an inch. However!! I also offer an extra-wide variant of all designs, keeping your precious papers perfectly positioned to perform a ritual, protect your friends, or punish thy enemies! These are made only upon request, so reach out if you're interested.

I currently offer 4 wood stain options for you to mix and match:

This particular variant has a thin sheet of embossed faux leather within the front cover. In addition to the wood stain color, you can choose from the following faux leather options.
